A few years back, I dipped my foot into the "creek" of Network Marketing.  The water was cold, and the people I met, or came into contact with, weren't much warmer.

The good news is, over the years, much of that has changed for the better.  Network Marketing, Direct Sales, and the MLM industry has turned a corner and has taken a path down the lane of legitimacy, respect, and truths.

Like anything else, it depends on who you meet, what they know, and what they are willing to share.  Today, there are many fine individuals, entrepreneurs, and business leaders who are willing to share what they know with the rest of us.

Thank God for those leaders and mentors!  Where would we be without them?

In the early years, I fumbled around with too many of the old "laws" in network marketing.  If you don't know what they were...just keep reading.

Some of you may recognize them as the 7 Great Lies of Network Marketing...

Lie #1 – Everyone is your prospect!

Lie #2 – This really isn’t sales. We just share products with people.

Lie #3 – Anyone can do this!

Lie #4 – We’ll build your business for you.

Lie #5 – We have the best product ever!

Lie #6 – You just don’t have enough belief!

Lie #7 – The proven system.

I beat myself up with many of those ideas, concepts, and half truths; commonly known as lies.  I'm not about to let that happen again, and if I can help it; I won't let it happen to you.

Walking the wrong way down the right side of the road was not a recipe for success.  It won't be for you either.  So let's change that and get started down the right lane. 

One of the first things we need to do, is to pick up a little light reading.  I started with The Attraction Marketers Manifesto and worked up from there.  It didn't take long for me to realize that I had a lot to learn if I was going to make a success of my business and bring extra income into the family. 

I had already done the research and found the businesses I wanted to promote.  I was ready to begin a new journey in network marketing and direct sales.  So I started down this new path of legitimacy and truth.  Are you ready to go with me?  Let's get going....
